They moved on to the next round of the Hungarian Cup.
The PTE-PEAC football teamwas present at the home of Szekszárd for the opening round of the Hungarian Cup. The Pécs team knocked out the championship rival from the series with Zalán Szabó’s double.
Gábor Molnár, head coach of our first team, evaluated the victory against Szekszárd!
We managed to advance in the scorching heat. Several of our pre-match goals were achieved, which makes me extremely satisfied and proud. The goal was to advance, finish the match without conceding a goal, rest key players, and in the meantime, get several players playing their first match for us on the field.
The negative thing that can be blamed on the guys is that we again did not close the match early, even though we had our chances. I feel that we did not play as well as we can, but we were able to control the match throughout, and we deservedly advanced to the next round.
