SZENTLŐRINC 1 – 0 PTE PEAC

In the 19th round of the South-West group, we played as a guest of Szentlőrinc. At the beginning of the match, the home team was able to create several situations. Around the 10th minute, Lezsák brought down the opponent’s attacker inside the penalty area, so the referee awarded 11, but the Szentlőrinc team could not take advantage of this. However, they took the lead in the 19th minute due to an individual error. After that, the match became even and around the 35th minute we got a penalty, which the goalkeeper of the home team was able to save. Our team started the second half well and did everything to get the equalizer. In the 70th minute, B. Gelencsér broke through on the left side of the field and shot the ball into the middle, which Grósz came to and shot it towards the goal, but the defender blocked the shot. Unfortunately, no more goals were scored in the match, so the score remained 1-0.

I say this in the way that we stayed in the dressing room for the first 20 minutes, I don’t know the reasons for that, Szentlőrinc could have won the match there, because they led 1-0 and had a great chance. After that, we came out and played good football in places, we were also strong in duels, obviously we prepared for the aggressive game and took a penalty, which unfortunately we missed. We missed a penalty, which could have changed the picture of the game, but obviously I don’t blame my player for that, because anyone can make mistakes. The goal we scored was also due to an individual error, so we conceded a goal without a chance, I can say that we beat ourselves.

The second half was entirely ours, so that Szentlőrinc had one or two counterattacks, but in the home of the championship hopefuls, we were able to put pressure on Szentlőrinc with four players born in 2005 on the field, and we had a breakthrough, it came on one player born in 2005 who is the situation.
