EARLY LIFE
Archie Margrain Hawkins was born on 6th March 2002 in Wandsworth, London, United Kingdom. At the age of 3, Archie and his parents relocated to Orfú Bános, a small village 17km from the city of Pécs in southern Hungary.
Archie started playing football at the age of 5 for local Pécs club PVSK, which was formed independently by athletes of the Pécs railwaymen in 1909. He spent 12 years learning his football trade there and when he was 17, joined Pécs club PMFC (2019 -2022). During this time, he played in the Hungarian 2nd Division (NBII). At the end of the 2022 season, he joined local Pécs university club, PEAC (2022-2024).
He completed his academic education at Brázay Kálmán Senior school in Magyarhertelend, Baranya county, Hungary. Archie has a younger brother George Zed Hawkins, who is also a footballer.
STYLE OF PLAY
A versatile midfielder, Archie is capable of playing on either wing as well as through the centre of midfield. While predominantly right-footed Archie is is very strong with both feet. He is typically deployed as in a traditional attacking role on either side of midfield, where he regularly looks to pressurize the opponent. In this position, he is able to use his pace and acceleration, agility and technical skills to take on opponents in one-on-one situations.
